2019 has heralded the start of a new collaboration between Hemargroup and Mendrisio-based audio manufacturer Schertler SA. Founded in the early 1980s by double bass player Stephan Schertler, the Swiss company has designed and manufactured audio equipment for over 30 years and is now regarded as a leader in the field of acoustic instrument amplification.

Driven by a programme of passionate research, Schertler aims to achieve highest levels of accuracy in the reproduction of acoustic instrument sound. An original approach to harnessing acoustic vibrations has resulted in a number of fundamental innovations, some of which have gained international patents, for example the STAT Series of contact microphones.

Schertler’s high-quality acoustic amplifiers have been consistently developed and re-engineered since the original Classic Series appeared in 2003. The latest versions of these products feature an innovative, high-end Class-A preamplifier with no integrated circuits and No Negative Feedback (NNFB) for best possible sound quality and transparency.

Earlier this year, Schertler decided to move the production of its amplifiers and small PA systems from Italy to the company’s HQ in Mendrisio – a major reorganisation that would result in the company’s entire product range becoming “100% Swiss Made” by the end of 2019. Along with the move came the necessity for Schertler to source a new supplier of electronic components and services. Rather fortuitously, that search ended in the same city of Schertler Headquarters: Mendrisio. A new collaboration with Hemargroup has started.

In order to be able to offer the best products for acoustic music and pro audio we look for the best components and, therefore, the best collaborators”, says Drago Dujak, Schertler’s Marketing Manager.

Stephan Schertler, CEO of Schertler, adds: “With such a major reorganisation underway, it was vital for us to find a supplier of electronic components and services who completely understands our attention to detail and our focus on quality. We are therefore delighted to be working with Hemargroup and look forward to a really successful collaboration.
